It originates from the town of Oban, which was constructed around the distillery, which has been operating since 1794. Every sip gives you a sense of the area. In order to preserve the spirit’s inherent depth without being overpowered by wood, this single malt is aged for 14 years in oak casks, primarily refill American oak. Bright citrus, pear, and a hint of sea salt will be evident in the nose. You taste rich dried fruit, malt, honeyed spice, and a subtle hint of smoke when you take a sip.
