It has a mash bill of 60% maize, 35% rye, and 5% malted barley and is made using the OBSV recipe, one of Four Roses’ 10 proprietary bourbon recipes. The peppery rye character is expertly balanced by the subtle fruit and caramel notes added by the “V” yeast strain. This bourbon develops layers of vanilla, caramel, and spice after 7 to 9 years of age, with overtones of apricot and cherry.
